One Point Perspective

The one point perspective drawing we drew in class was a 3 hour piece. To draw this, I used pencil and shaded areas with shadows and highlighted areas using an eraser to show Da Vinci's six rules of light. I used a picture of a gravel road with trees in the background as a reference photo for this piece. The height of the bases of the trees are behind the hill, with the vanishing point behind the hill as well. The trees do not have the exact same texture, but they have the correct proportions. There are many values to show darker and lighter trees. The gravel road was also worn down and lighter towards the edge where tires have driven before. My goal with this piece was to make the scenery look as realistic as possible, and to bring some depth into the drawing.
